Head’s Welcome
I feel very privileged to be the Head of this wonderful school. Rose Hill School has quickly built a reputation as one of the leading prep schools in the South East thanks to a combination of inspiring teaching, excellent academic results and a firm commitment to protect the joy of childhood.
I strongly believe that children thrive when they feel safe and happy. At Rose Hill School we work hard to create a nurturing environment where our pupils’ views are respected and encouraged. Our 5 ‘keys’ to happiness and success, along with a ‘keyring’ of integrity are skills we focus on. In addition, our pupils have the opportunity to develop their abilities to co-operate, to think collaboratively and to show consideration for the needs of others.
We are proud of our reputation of developing our pupils’ ability to develop their ‘keys’ – organisation, perseverance, getting along, resilience and confidence which are life skills alongside understanding how they learn. The children leave us with a problem-solving attitude and a toolkit on which to draw. They are confident, articulate, resourceful, resilient, independent and more than ready to face the next stage of their education.
It is a given that our pupils will move on to some of the leading schools, but what is important for us is that they move on to the right school for them. That is the one which will allow them to flourish and build on the strong foundations that they have established here at Rose Hill School.
I hope that you have time to browse our website and see more of what makes our school so special and what makes our pupils stand out from the crowd. Of course, the best way to get a feel for us is to come and visit and I look forward to welcoming you to our ‘hidden gem’ in the heart of Tunbridge Wells.
