What a (Wellness) Week!
Pupils at Rose Hill School gathered together last Friday to bury a time capsule marking the end of what has been an extraordinary year. The capsule included items from all pupils reflecting on both the positive and negative experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown. The time capsule was part of Wellness Week, an annual event in the school calendar.
Pupils and parents got involved in a huge variety of activities including yoga, Maypoling, a “danceathon”, Zumba, online safety, gratitude trees, LAMDA workshops, music, life coaching, healthy eating and much, much more!
One of the highlights to the week was a visit from David Atherton, winner of the Great British Bake Off. He talked to pupils about his journey and how all of his cooking focuses on the health benefits of food. Pupils tried his cakes and guessed the mystery ingredients.
Head, Emma Neville, said “Wow. What a week we have had! The whole school community has been involved in so many activities. For me the highlight was the visit from David Atherton, an amazing example of hard work and resilience, what a fantastic baker he is”.
