Year 7 had a great time at Carroty Wood this week working together as a whole year group. They enjoyed a fun day out which included two activities, the high ropes and mountain biking. During the high ropes activity pupils were pushed out of their comfort zone to perform the ‘leap of faith’ as well as scaling heights to swing through the rope ‘grapevine’. The mountain biking was a challenge of speed and agility through the tracks in the woods. For those less confidence on a bicycle, their perseverance is to be commended. With both of these activities the Y7 pupils,  showed respect and empathy when supporting each other if it was proving difficult. The kind and supportive words amongst their peers is a testament to their characters. They certainly showed forged together a team which starts them off from a good starting place for the rest of Year 7 & 8.
