Year 4 have completed Surfers Against Sewage’s Plastic Free Schools programme
Year 4 have completed Surfers Against Sewage’s Plastic Free Schools programme by forming an action group, holding their first meeting and interviewing key staff in the Rose Hill community. They have launched this campaign to make positive, lasting changes and become a Plastic (single use) Free School. After an initial meeting, discussing the issue of plastic pollution within the school, they have analysed the use of single use plastic and identified areas for change. These recommendations will be presented to Ms Neville next week. Year 4’s inspiring campaign is an essential part of our school’s journey to becoming plastic free and also gives the pupils valuable experience in research and communication. They have also written letters to the local MP Greg Clark to highlight the issue of plastic pollution
