The Year 3s spent their Art and DT Focus day at Sussex Country Garden Centre where they studied the proportions and structures of fish and trees. To our surprise, the garden centre invited us all to their café where they spoiled us with delicious cupcakes and apple juice. Once arriving back at Rose Hill School, the pupils were able to use this knowledge in the willow workshop in the Woodland Classroom. This involved manipulating and weaving willow sticks to complete fish on rods and crowns. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed their day, which was completed with everyone cooking marshmallows on a fire.
