IAPS National Football Champions
On Monday 27 September the team travelled to Charterhouse School to compete in a new tournament, focused on smaller schools from the independent sector. The format of the tournament meant all teams had to play each other. Losing their first match the boys reflected on the defeat and were determined to prove to the other teams that they were a force to be reckoned with. For the remainder of the tournament the team didn’t lose another game and only conceded one more goal. After a brilliant final match the boys were crowned IAPS National Small School Champions.
Simon Hinchliffe, Head of Boys’ Games said “To win any tournament is a fantastic achievement but to win one on a national level is truly exceptional. The boys were a credit to themselves, their families and the school. We are so proud of the team, and they should be extremely proud of themselves”.
