Join us on Friday 21st March at either 9:30am or 2pm for our next School Open Day.
Find out why Rose Hill School could be the best investment in your child’s early education.
We are a modern school, rich in tradition. On our 15-acre woodland and grass site, just 5 minutes’ drive from the centre of Royal Tunbridge Wells, we provide an outdoor-focussed education for children aged 3-13 years, which is exceptionally well-rounded and includes over 70 co-curricular activities. Our modern take on a traditional independent school education provides excellent pastoral provision alongside academic achievement.
Children from Reception and all the way through the school can chose from over 70 co-curricular clubs and activities, including hockey, cubs, gardening, golf, dance and woodland. From Year 3, children enjoy weekly competitive fixtures, and from Nursery all children enjoy weekly swimming lessons in our indoor swimming pool.
Our Nursery and Reception classes of just 15 on average, ensure that our specialist teachers can bring the best out of the children at this foundational time during their learning journey.
We are registered with Kent County Council as a provider of the 15 funded hours per week. Wraparound care is available from 7.30 – 5.15pm, and provision between 8am – 4pm is included in fees. Our on-site parking makes morning school drop-off a breeze!
Words and images can only convey so much – join us on Friday 21st March for our School Open Day. You’ll be able to tour our school, meet our Headteacher of 7 years, Ms Emma Neville, and meet some of our current pupils. Please click here to complete our Open Day Registration Form. We will be in touch within 2 working days to provide you with further information.
We typically have 2 Reception classes, allowing the children to benefit from smaller groups and to lay strong academic foundations in phonics and numeracy lessons. The wider year group joins together for play-based learning activities outside of phonics and numeracy, and is beneficial for social development and interaction at this formative age. Thanks to the consistency of their surroundings, teachers and peers between Nursery and PrePrep, our Nursery children enter their Reception year very much ‘School Ready’, with confidence and competency, raring to go!
Many of our pupils go on to successful 11+ entry into their chosen Grammar Schools. Unlike other schools however, our traditional Prep School model means that we are able to educate children not just up to age 11, but up to 13. Pupils who choose to stay with us for Years 7 and 8 benefit from continuity and stability from age 3, through to their pre-adolescent and early adolescent years, giving them the confidence to build their character, critical thinking, and to focus on academics, before moving onto senior school.
We’re so passionate about providing educational continuity for our Year 7 and 8 pupils that we have taken 50% off fees for these year groups until 2030 (£3,671 per term for 2024/25 academic year*.)
