HeadLines, Friday 8 September
Dear Parents,
We hope this newsletter finds you well. We are excited to share the highlights of our first few days back at school with you. It has been filled with excitement, learning, and reconnection for both our pupils and staff.
A warm welcome back! The classrooms, theatre and sports field of Rose Hill School came alive with the laughter and chatter of pupils as they returned to school on Tuesday. Our teachers and staff were delighted to see familiar faces and welcome new ones. The energy and enthusiasm in the buildings was contagious, reminding us of the joy of learning and being together.
Back to school activities! Our pupils wasted no time in diving back into their studies and co-curricular activities. Here are some of the highlights from the first week:
Orientation for new pupils: Our new pupils received a warm welcome and their buddies helped them acclimatise to their new school environment.
Classroom updates: Teachers have been busy preparing their classrooms with engaging learning materials and creating welcoming spaces for pupils. Our PrePrep Building has been completely refurbished and is looking amazing – a huge thanks to all involved.
Co-Curricular Clubs: Our co-curricular clubs and activities resume on Monday 11 September, including many music, sport, art and drama clubs, along with coding and chess club. Please contact Mrs Groves [email protected] for more information on how your child can get involved. We are incredibly proud of our programme which the pupils love taking part in, refining their skills or even learning new ones. It is a hugely valuable part of our educational offering.
Upcoming events: We have exciting events and initiatives planned for the forthcoming term, including weekly matches, music, trips and Focus Days. Keep an eye on our school calendar for more details.
Parent Involvement: We value the partnership between our school and our parents. We encourage you to stay involved in your child’s education by joining our Parent Association (PA), and volunteering when possible. Your support is instrumental to our pupils’ success.
Communication: Open and transparent communication is vital to us. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher. We are here to assist you.
Looking ahead: As we move forward into the school year, we are excited about the learning opportunities and growth that lie ahead for our pupils. Together, as a school community, we will continue to foster a nurturing and enriching environment where all our pupils can thrive.
We understand that transitioning into a new school year can be both exciting and nerve-wracking. Our teachers and support staff have been working diligently to ensure that all our pupils feel comfortable, safe, and ready to embark on their learning journeys.
We are delighted to announce that we are finalists in the coveted Talk Education Awards for Innovation in Education in the Environmental achievement category. Thank you for entrusting us with the education and well-being of your children. We look forward to a successful and rewarding school year ahead.
For those camping this evening have a wonderful time.
Best wishes,
Emma Neville
