HeadLines, Friday 8 December

Date Posted: Friday 08 December 2023

Dear Parents,

As we draw near to the end of this Autumn Term, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we’ve undertaken together. The laughter, the challenges, and the triumphs have shaped us into a stronger and more connected community. This week we have enjoyed our stunning Prep School Carol Service. With a packed congregation our pupils sang beautiful carols and retold the story of the birth of Christ. Thank you to all the pupils for working so hard to create such powerful performances. The choirs, soloists, readers and musicians did particularly well. My thanks also to Mrs Harrod, Mrs Nicoll and all the supporting staff.

As the festive season approaches, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude and share some reflections with you all. First and foremost, I want to extend my deepest appreciation to our dedicated and passionate staff. Your tireless efforts, creativity, and unwavering commitment to our pupils have not gone unnoticed. This term has presented its own set of unique challenges, but you have navigated them with resilience and grace. Thank you for your hard work and the positive impact you make in the lives of our pupils every day.

To our wonderful pupils, you continue to inspire us with your curiosity, enthusiasm, and kindness. Your achievements, both big and small, are a testament to your dedication to learning and personal growth. As we approach the holiday season, take a moment to reflect on your accomplishments and the friendships you’ve built throughout the term. This morning was thoroughly entertaining as we saw the Early Years Nativity ‘Christmas Counts’, starring Kindergarten and Reception pupils. The children acted their parts and sang songs beautifully. Thank you to all the staff, especially the EYFS staff, and Mrs Harrod. We look forward to Lower School’s presentation of ‘A Midwife Crisis’, and in advance I send my thanks to staff for all their hard work.

Parents, your support is invaluable. Thank you for entrusting us with the education and well-being of your children. Your partnership is crucial to the success of our school community, and we are grateful for the trust you place in us. The PA Christmas Fair was a superb example of the strength we have as a community when we work together.

Now, as we prepare to celebrate Christmas and welcome the New Year, let us embrace the spirit of the season. May the warmth of family and friends, the joy of giving, and the magic of the holidays fill your hearts with happiness.

Please take this time to rest, rejuvenate, and cherish the moments with your loved ones. Whether you’re traveling or staying close to home, I hope this holiday season brings you peace, joy, and the opportunity to create lasting memories. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thank you for making Rose Hill School a remarkable place to learn and grow.

Best wishes,

Emma Neville
