HeadLines, Friday 7 February
Dear Parents,
We’re excited to share the vibrant learning experiences that have been buzzing around Rose Hill School recently. Our commitment to fostering a dynamic and engaging environment continues to grow, providing our pupils with rich opportunities to thrive both academically and creatively.
🎭 Creative Arts Extravaganza
Our budding Middle School actors are ready to shine as they take centre stage in the Junior Production of Alice next week. We have had two brilliant dress rehearsals this week, thank you to Year 1 pupils from Bishops Chavasse who joined us for yesterday’s performance. Next week’s performances will showcase the diverse talents of our pupils, highlighting the importance of creativity and self-expression within our curriculum.
🌏 Pupil Voice Matters
We have come to the end of Children’s Mental Health Week 2025! This year we’ve been exploring the theme ‘Know Yourself, Grow Yourself’, we placed pupil voice at the heart of our activities. Children engaged in meaningful discussions about how to use their voices for positive change, while reflecting on the diversity and connections that enrich our world.
🏆 Focus Day Highlights
This week’s Focus Day was a resounding success, with pupils immersing themselves in a variety of hands-on activities – from drama and religious studies, with a visit to the Gurdwara in Gravesend and all enriched with music, to exploring the world of animation, with Year 6 creating their own animation films. These experiences continue to spark curiosity and inspire a love of learning beyond the classroom.
Well done to 3R for a brilliant assembly this morning, they shared their experiences of sharing and caring with the residents at Chamberlain Court. This week Reception enjoyed a trip to the Fire Station as part of their Creative Curriculum topic. Finally, well done to the U10A rugby team who finished their rugby season on a high this week having remained undefeated all season.
As we nurture a holistic learning journey for every child, we’d like to thank our dedicated staff and enthusiastic pupils. Together, we create a school community where curiosity thrives, talents blossom, and achievements are celebrated.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend.
Best wishes,
Emma Neville
