Date Posted: Friday 30 June 2023

Dear Parents,

What a tremendous week with our recent Sports Days and the senior production of Macbeth! All the events were a tremendous success, showcasing the incredible talent, teamwork, and dedication of our pupils and staff.

Our Sports Days are a true celebration of athleticism, sportsmanship, and camaraderie. Whatever the age of the pupils, the energy and enthusiasm displayed by them was truly inspiring. From the track races to the field events, everyone gave their all, pushing themselves to new heights and achieving personal bests. I want to commend each and every pupil who participated in Sports Day. Whether it was sprinting down the track, jumping with grace and agility, or throwing with precision, your dedication and determination were evident. You displayed great sportsmanship, encouraging and cheering for your fellow classmates, creating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere. A special mention goes to our outstanding athletes who achieved exceptional results and broke previous records. Your commitment to your training and passion for your respective sports have truly paid off. Well done!

I would also like to express my gratitude to our dedicated staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the smooth running of the event. Your efforts, enthusiasm, and commitment to our pupils’ well-being are greatly appreciated, particularly Mr Hinchliffe, Mrs Groves and Mr Blakeway.

Macbeth was a spectacular showcase of talent, creativity, and teamwork between pupils and staff. The cast, crew, and production team deserve a standing ovation for their exceptional performances and the mesmerizing production they delivered. From the captivating acting to the flawless choreography and the stunning set designs, every aspect of the play was a testament to their hard work and artistic abilities. I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to our talented pupils who brought the characters to life and delivered outstanding performances. Your commitment to the arts and your ability to captivate the audience were truly remarkable. Well done on a job well done!

Additionally, I would like to thank our dedicated teachers, and all the staff members who provided guidance and support throughout the entire production process. Your expertise and passion have undoubtedly played a significant role in the success of the school play, particularly to Mrs Nicoll and Mrs Harrod.

To the parents, thank you for your continuous support and encouragement. Your presence at these events and your unwavering support for our pupils are invaluable. Sports Days and productions are not only about winning or the final performance; they are about fostering teamwork, building confidence, and nurturing a love for physical activity and the arts. Our pupils have demonstrated these qualities admirably, and I am incredibly proud of each and every one of them.

Once again, congratulations to all our pupils, and staff, for making this week such a resounding success. Let’s celebrate this achievement together and continue to nurture the talents and passions of our pupils.

We congratulate Ms Lang on achieving her first headship as Head of Prep School at Radnor House, Sevenoaks, starting January 2024. A well-deserved promotion!

Best wishes,

Emma Neville
