HeadLines, Friday 19 April
Dear Parents,
A very warm welcome to Summer Term 2024. A special welcome to a number of new pupils and staff. We welcome Mrs Wood, as our new Assistant Head (Academic), Mrs Drew and Mrs Norton new Teaching Assistants in PrePrep and Mrs Currie supporting After School Care.
We have some super events coming up this term, as you will see from our online calendar . Many events are for both the children and yourselves and we hope that you will get involved. There is a new term breakfast on Friday 26 April straight after drop off in the Dining Room. We hope to see many of you there.
Wellness Week starts on Tuesday 7 May and opens with Rev Tom Nash, who will be talking to the pupils about spirituality. As many of you will be aware Wellness Week involves a number of workshops and visiting speakers. Further details of all the parent activities can be found in next week’s newsletter.
We also have Science Week, Orchestral Week and Founder’s Day is on 18 May. This year we are focusing on our pupils’ talents and is a community event with a huge range of showcasing activities. Please have this date in your diary.
The Summer Term holds plenty of opportunity for our pupils. The main sports are cricket, athletics, swimming and tennis but with over 60 club options available, the Rose Hill School Co-Curricular programme offers something for all pupils no matter their skill level or interest – I have encouraged all pupils to ‘have a go’. Please look out for further information on upcoming activities in future newsletters.
Finally, we do say a very sad goodbye to Mrs Moore at the end of the Summer Term. Mrs Moore is stepping back from being the Head of Art at Rose Hill School to pursue her own art further. Mrs Moore has the most creative and infectious buzz and has instilled a love of art in so many of our pupils. I am sure that you will want to join me in thanking Mrs Moore for all of her boundless energy.
Best wishes,
Emma Neville
