HeadLines, Friday 18 October
Dear Parents,
As we reach the end of a very busy and fun-filled half term, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on the wonderful learning achievements of our pupils. From engaging in hands-on activities during Focus Days to exploring the richness of our Compass curriculum, the enthusiasm and curiosity shown by the children have been remarkable. Year 1s trip to Chatham Docks proved an amazing learning experience from rope making to touring HMS Cavalier.
For those who slept rough last Friday, raising awareness of the homelessness within our extended community, well done for all of your efforts. Thank you to Mrs Nicoll and the supporting staff. All of our Prep School pupils took part in the House Song Competition, which demonstrated the most amazing choral event along with spectacular choreography! Well done to everyone for their hard work and congratulations to Baden Powell for the winning song!
A special mention must go to our new pupils, who have embraced the challenges of settling into new routines and making new friends with resilience and positivity. It’s been a pleasure to watch them grow in confidence over the past few weeks.
I would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Parents’ Association for their ongoing support of our events. Your contributions truly enhance the learning experiences we offer. Today’s PrePrep Woodland Scavenge Hunt, with its mix of outdoor fun and creative exploration, was a particular highlight. The children thoroughly enjoyed the adventure, and your help made it all the more special. Well done to all of the creative spirits who decorated pumpkins. For all those running or rambling, well done for your endurance in the mud! Thank you to all of the pupils and staff for embracing our events.
For those heading off on the sports tour, have the most amazing time. My thanks to all of the staff involved. As we head into the break, I wish everyone a restful and enjoyable holiday. We look forward to welcoming the children back, recharged and ready for another exciting half term.
Best wishes,
Emma Neville
