HeadLines, Friday 17 January
Dear Parents,
At Rose Hill School, Compass is thoughtfully designed to foster global citizenship and future readiness. Through our Creative Curriculum, dynamic projects, enrichment sessions, Focus Days, and a vibrant club’s program, we prepare our pupils not only for academic success but also to thrive in a rapidly evolving world. I am immensely proud of how our approach equips children with the skills, knowledge, and mindset to contribute meaningfully to society.
This week, we are focusing on the theme of global awareness, and the vital citizenship skills for navigating both local and global challenges. As we begin a new term, our pupils are embracing new opportunities through our societies, clubs, and activities. We’ve encouraged them to try something new and to persevere, reinforcing the importance of resilience and dedication. It’s a shared responsibility between school and home to empower our children to embrace challenges, understand the purpose of learning, and apply their skills both within and beyond the classroom.
On 23 January, we are thrilled to host Wonder Day for Year 5 – a day filled with exciting, hands-on experiences that broaden horizons and inspire curiosity. Year 5 Parents are warmly invited to join us the following morning to hear from our pupils, their reflections and learning points from the challenges they faced!
Additionally, our senior pupils are preparing diligently for their senior school scholarships, with some already achieving outstanding results – congratulations to them! For parents navigating future school options, we invite you to our Future Schools Information Evening on 28 January. Representatives from many independent schools will be available to provide guidance. To register, please contact [email protected].
Finally, it’s heartening to see the children settling back into their learning with such enthusiasm. The excitement and energy around the school – from the classrooms to the woodlands – is truly inspiring, and we look forward to a term filled with growth and exploration.
Best wishes,
Emma Neville
