Dear Parents,
Welcome back after our half term. I hope that you’ve all managed to have a break and enjoyed the unseasonably good weather.
For all of those who had the amazing opportunity to join the sports tour to Valencia, thank you for your brilliant support to get to the airport, and for the wonderful behaviour of the pupils. I’m sure that you’ll join me in thanking our dedicated staff for giving so generously of their time.
Our theme for this week has been to think about our behaviour and attitudes, and to learn from our errors along the way. I look to all our pupils and ask that they try to be the best versions of themselves.
Well done to the U9 Hockey team who were champions at the Lingfield College Tournament yesterday, they lost no matches and only conceded one goal, tremendous!
The whole school has enjoyed listening to our visiting speaker today. David Atherton won the Great British Bake Off in 2019 and has been talking to the children about his career journey as well as how to write a cook book! Thank you David.
Finally, and not least, we have stellar 11+ marks, for which I congratulate all our pupils, everyone did very well indeed and I am very proud. In addition, we have many pupils sitting their independent school exams this week and scholarship exams coming up over the next few weeks – we send you all our best.
I am sure you will join me in congratulating Miss Gibson, who is expecting a baby in early May. We wish Mrs Izzard well post-operation, she is steadily recovering.
Best wishes,
Emma Neville
