Cubs & Scouts at Rose Hill School

Date Posted: Thursday 22 September 2022

The Cub pack started the year with many Cubs pushing themselves in achieving various proficiency badges through true Scouting resilience. Badges included water sports, home help, cooks, collectors and disability awareness. The Scouts earned more badges this year than ever before including, Geocaching, Navigation, Circus Skills, Craft, Physical Recreation, Survival Skills and Overnight Stay.

In the spring we joined the Scouts on the St. George’s Activity Day at Adamswell. Here the Pack took a train ride to the campsite where we renewed our promise and had many adventurous activities to try out such as zip wire, toasting marshmallows, inflatable slides, archery and shooting. Here we also invested two new Cubs .

The summer term gave an opportunity to get outside and earn a few more badges such as the athletes badge and we had a sixers & seconders camp over with the Scouts in the grounds of Rose Hill. Everyone had lots of fun pitching tents, playing wide games, building and sleeping in shelters and cooking on fires.
