An ‘Eggcellent’ Science Week at Rose Hill School
Every class in the school spent time with the chicks at their various developmental stages and many memorable moments were created along the way. A whole school focus on life cycles saw them studied in science, art, English and maths.
New Head of Science, John Agnew, said “It has been a delight to watch even our busiest children devote time and care to our feathered friends. It is very sad to say goodbye to Flash, Chirpy, Cheepy, Muffin, Chicken Licken, DJ Quack, Bobby, Mr Billy, Loba and Margaret Hatcher but it is wonderful to know they will have a happy home back at the farm”.
Pupils are now waiting patiently for their caterpillars, also part of Science Week, to complete metamorphosis. The school plans to gather as a community to celebrate the special moment when they release the butterflies into our school grounds.
