Victory at Kent Prep School Tournament!

The Rose Hill School U11 football team were crowned tournament champions at the annual Kent Prep Schools 5-a-side tournament held at St Michael’s Prep School on Saturday.
The format of the tournament involves games of only 10 minutes, meaning effort and work rate are essential. After several early wins and a 1-0 win against the hosts, St Michael’s Prep School, in the semi-finals the team went through to the finals to play The Hawthorns School. It was a close match with neither team scoring in the first half, a final big push from Rose Hill lead to victory!
Simon Hinchliffe, Head of Boys’ Games said “I couldn’t be more proud of the boys. They all worked extremely hard and gave us everything we asked of them. It is an outstanding achievement and one that they will be talking about for a long time to come”.

It’s been a busy week full of book related fun. To kick off Book Week The Library hosted a Book Hunt for the Prep School on Monday which saw the children hunting high and low for a selection of titles. On Tuesday it was Pre Prep’s turn as they took to the Astro to hunt for favourite book characters—I’m glad to say the glum weather did not dampen their high spirits! Prep School have been designing bookmarks during their library sessions with some fantastic designs created by our artistic pupils.
