Dear Parents,

Mrs Morgan opened our Neurodiversity Celebration Week with a fantastic assembly busting myths and applauding strengths and talents! This is a worldwide initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences. It aims to transform how neurodivergent individuals are perceived and supported by providing schools, universities, organisations, and others around the world with the opportunity to recognise the many skills and talents of neurodivergent individuals, while creating more inclusive and equitable cultures that celebrate differences and empower every individual https://www.neurodiversityweek.com/.

Congratulations to our performers in our Recital Concert who performed with such confidence and skill. How lovely to see such a wide variety of instruments and musical styles, from many beginners to experienced performers. Thank you to our fantastic audience. Many pupils had their ABRSM exams on Thursday, I am confident that they will see fantastic results as they have worked so hard!

In and out of the classroom we have been super busy! Our interschool football fiesta has been quite remarkable – well done to all the girls taking part. Huge thanks to Mrs Groves and the sports department. Well done to all of the Year 7 & 8 girls who hosted – carrying out their roles with such a high level of politeness. Nursery have been out in the bright sunshine with a visit to Cherry Gardens Farm to learn about the fruits of the farmer’s labour and help pick the calettes.

Year 6 have been working really hard to get their philanthropic projects finished – their research and collaboration skills have been put to the test. My thanks to Mrs Wren who has carefully guided their independent learning, and to Mrs Scarbrough and Dr Tuck for supporting this aspect. Next week, Year 6 pupils are holding their fundraising activities following the project work presentations supporting WaterAid. Please look out for the timetable of the many activities taking place. The end of our wonderful week finished with an excellent assembly delivered by the School Council marking Red Nose Day.

We have all been involved in Open Day today, an absolutely phenomenal event, showcasing the very best the School has to offer. It was one of the busiest Open Days we have ever held and my thanks to you, our parents, who spread such positive word of mouth recommendations. I hope you agree that the School looks fantastic in the spring sunshine.

In staff news, we whole heartedly thank Mrs Bains for all of her hard work running Lower School: as from September, she will be stepping down from this role, but fortunately remains with us as a Class Teacher. Congratulations to Mrs Robinson, who will be our new Head of PrePrep and Mrs Scarbrough who will step into the role of Deputy Head from September.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend.

Best wishes,

Emma Neville
