HeadLines, Friday 6 December
Dear Parents,
On Monday Year 3 had a visit from the Romans and focused their studies on ancient times and wonders. They had a hands-on workshop looking at the lives of Roman Emperors as well as everyday people. Well done for such brilliant behaviour and hard work.
A huge amount of preparation has been taking place for our Christmas celebrations. Firstly, the beautiful Prep School Carol Service took place at St. John’s Church last night. Our School’s Carol Service is a cherished tradition that brings together pupils, staff, and families to celebrate the festive season. With beautiful carols sung by our choir, heart-warming readings, and musical performances, it’s an occasion filled with joy and reflection. The service highlights the talents of our pupils and fosters a sense of community as we come together to embrace the true spirit of Christmas. This year was no exception, a spiritual moment where we able to come together, to celebrate and mark this special Christian time of year. My thanks to the whole Prep School for their hard work, and especially to Mr Metcalf, Mrs Nicoll and Mrs Harrod.
This morning we watched a spectacular performance of ‘ A Little Bird Told Me’ from EYFS. What a wonderful show, polished prose and seasonal songs. Well done to all of our EYFS pupils and huge thanks to the EYFS team and Mrs Harrod. We are very much looking forward to seeing Baubles, A Tree-mendous Nativity on Monday.
Please remember your Christmas jumpers for Thursday 12 December.
Best wishes
