HeadLines, Friday 13 December

Date Posted: Thursday 12 December 2024

Dear Parents,

As we approach the festive season, I want to take a moment to share my appreciation and reflections with you all. First, my heartfelt thanks go to our dedicated and passionate staff. Your tireless efforts, creativity, and unwavering commitment to our pupils make an incredible difference every day. This term has brought its own unique challenges, yet you have faced them with resilience and grace. Your hard work does not go unnoticed, and I deeply appreciate the positive impact you have on our school community.

To our wonderful pupils, you continue to inspire us with your curiosity, enthusiasm, and kindness. Your achievements, both big and small, are a testament to your dedication to learning and personal growth. As we approach the holiday season, I encourage you to take pride in your accomplishments and reflect on the friendships and memories you’ve made this term.

Last Friday, we were delighted by the Early Years Nativity, ‘A Little Bird Told Me’, with Nursery and Reception pupils shining in their roles and songs. On Monday morning we were eagerly looking forward to the Lower School’s presentation of ‘Baubles!’, and again, this was exceptional. I want to extend my thanks to all the staff and pupils for their hard work, especially the EYFS and Lower School teams and Mrs. Harrod.

Our carol singers have been busy singing their hearts out in the community, the Eco-committee have swapped 19 Christmas jumpers, PrePrep have watched pantomime, Year 3s have made a final visit of the term to the care home to wish members of the community season’s greetings.

To our parents, thank you for your invaluable support. Entrusting us with your children’s education and well-being is a responsibility we cherish, and your partnership strengthens our school community. The recent PA Christmas Fair was a wonderful reminder of what we can achieve together, and I’m grateful for the warmth and collaboration that make our school so special. The Fair raised an incredible £6,700 and I am hugely grateful to the marvelous Mrs Dellar and her team of Christmas elves for the huge effort which went into the Fair.

As we prepare to celebrate Christmas and welcome the New Year, let’s embrace the spirit of the season. May your homes be filled with the warmth of family and friends, the joy of giving, and the magic of the holidays.

Following on from a very thorough and exceptional ISI inspection, thank you all for your continued support and commitment to the school. Please do take the time to read the full report. Please take this time to rest, recharge, and cherish moments with your loved ones. Whether you are traveling or staying close to home, I hope this holiday season brings peace, joy, and memories to treasure.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thank you for making Rose Hill School a remarkable place to learn and grow.

Best wishes,

Emma Neville
