Year 6 pupils come second in public speaking competition
Well done to the six children in Year 6 who took place in the inaugural Sutton Valence Public Speaking competition last Thursday.
Each team had to prepare a speech of five minutes about a topic they were sent. One was, ‘We should listen to more classical music’ and the second was, ‘Fortnite should be banned’.
Max, Tom and Greta came second out of ten teams, with their talk on Fortnite. They won a beautiful engraved trophy which we will display in the entrance hall. They were also given Amazon vouchers and a huge bag of Haribo sweets each!
