Year 5 travel back in time to 1588!

Year 5 were lucky to have a warm and dry day for their visit to Penshurst Place. We were there for a Tudor themed day based on the year of the Spanish Armada, 1588.
Year 5 visited 7 different locations around Penshurst Place finding out about Tudor law and order, weapons, food and drink, music and dancing, medicine and surgery and clothes. We were also lucky enough to meet Queen Elizabeth I, who was able to answer a series of questions from Year 5 on what life was like as a Queen.
The pupils were really well behaved and were a pleasure to take out on a school trip.
