Year 5 trip to London Eye and Golden Hinde
Year 5 had a great trip to London last Friday. We caught the train from Tunbridge Wells to Charing Cross, sharing our carriage with a large group of St. Michael’s pupils also on a trip.
We arrived at the London Eye in good time for our pre-booked ride and learnt a great deal about the geography of London.
We took advantage of the lovely weather to have our lunch outside the Tate Modern Gallery and explored the Millennium Bridge.
Our visit to the Golden Hinde began at 1:30pm and our excellent guide was soon passing on lots of information and stories about Sir Francis Drake and his voyage around the world.
It was a short walk to London Bridge station where we caught our return train back to Tunbridge Wells. Well done to all of Year 5 for being an excellent group on this interesting and informative trip.
