U10 Rose Hill Tournament
Congratulations to our U10 girls for winning the Rose Hill hockey tournament on Saturday morning. The girls proved unstoppable in their title bid with fast attacking play, leading to 20 goals scored during the morning, and solid defending, conceding only 2 goals in total. 7 teams entered the tournament and Rose Hill girls dominated each match to beat them all and be crowned champions.

Whilst the heavy rain did make the trip via Alfriston village a little tricky it also served to highlight the spectacular meanders and creeks of the River Cuckmere’s floodplain in the Spring sunshine and allow the ‘New Cut’ to be in full spate and speed along to the sea at low tide. As it did so the fast-flowing water actively undercut and eroded the shingle beach causing mini land or ‘shingle’ slides before our very eyes.
