Sounds Roadshow

Children from Year 1 up to Year 8 enjoyed a 'Samba Workshop' and interactive concert today.
During the morning all the children took part in a hands-on workshop, experiencing multi-rhythmic, multi-textured pieces based on Brazilian 'Samba'. The workshops were very noisy with every child having an instrument - but great fun!
During the afternoon the whole school watched an interactive concert: a whirlwind tour through almost everything musical. Andy the Music man demonstrated a wide range of stringed instruments from the 16th century lute right through to the electric guitar, as well as a whole variety of percussion instruments from across the world. There was lots of participation and we were all captivated throughout!

Lower School Production of Mary Poppins, practically perfect in every way!

13 December 2019

When we found out this year's Junior Production was 'Mary Poppins', we felt excited about what part we would get and how rehearsals would go. Rehearsals started straight away and we realised it wasn't going to be as easy as we thought! It was going to be tough and we would need to work very hard!

Year 7 art trip to the Towner Gallery in Eastbourne

14 November 2019

On Thursday, 9 November Year 7 went on an Art trip to the Towner Gallery in Eastbourne. After a bus journey to Eastbourne College we had a delicious lunch in their canteen. We then walked a short distance to the Towner Gallery which is located right next to the College. It wasn’t hard to miss as there was an amazing mural painted on the side of the building, in all sorts of shapes and colours, celebrating the Towner’s 10th Anniversary.
