Rugby 1st Team Train with the Harlequins

On Friday 3rd February, the Rugby 1st team travelled to the Twickenham Stoop to train with the Harlequins. After a long Journey the boys were put through their paces by the Harlequins coaches. The session focused upon expansive running rugby and the development of handling skills. It was very exciting for the team to be doing the drills and practices which are used daily by the Harlequins.
It was then time to replenish our energy levels, so the boys descended upon a local Nando’s for a team bonding meal, with some of the boys sampling the ‘extra hot’ options on offer. Fed and watered we returned to the Stoop to watch the ‘Mighty Quins’ take on the Sale Sharks in the Anglo-Welsh cup. In very windy conditions the game was a bit of an anti-climax but the boys thoroughly enjoyed the experience of watching an elite sports match. An added treat saw the boys able to go onto the pitch at half time.
Well done to all the boys who took part. You were a credit to the school.
