Rose Hill School pupils ski in Italy

Twenty-nine pupils, staff and parents left Tunbridge Wells on New Years Day bound for the stunning ski resort of Madonna di Campiglio. As we climbed higher into the Brenta Dolomites, it became clear from the depth of the snow as to the treat which lay ahead of us. On waking, we were greeted by sunshine and magnificent views from the hotel.
Once ready, we collected our skis, crossed the road and found ourselves on the beautifully groomed slopes. The pupils were divided into three ability groups, and off they went; exploring the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site on fresh powder snow.
Pupils were treated to a Geography lesson at 2,400m learning about the 2 million years of rock formation which has made this area famous.
Apres ski activities included a traditional pizza night in the village, quiz night and kareoke, and of course snowman building!
