Pirates of the Curry Bean

It was anchors away on Thursday and Friday night as the Lower School (Y3-5) set sail on swashbuckling pirate adventure.
Jack & Liza Periwinkle (T Dunnett & I George) yearning for adventure are given a real life treasure map by their Aunty Dead-Eye (A Bowring). However, when the infamous Redbeard (O Wynne) and his pungent Pirates of the Curry Bean steal the map and kidnap their mother Pearl (C Froud), the race is on to rescue her, reclaim the map and find the treasure. Accompanied by their faithful cat Fiddlesticks (R Renton), the twins join a mad admiral (P Andrews) and his crazy crew on a voyage of adventure that takes them from Old London Docks to the mysterious island of Lumbago in the sea of Sciatica. Scuttle (T Whitlock) and Slack (A Bell) were first to find the treasure chest but a bigger surprise was awaiting them even better than gold. Chief Wonga (J Phillips) turns out to be Jack & Lizas’ long lost father Stanley.
A brilliant play and a big thank you to all the staff involved in its production.
