Art workshop @TonbridgeSchool

On 17 September, 10 art enthusiastic Year 7&8s attended a silkscreen workshop let by artist in residence Helen Bridges at Tonbridge School. The pupils, who had designed sport related figures and shapes in class, were inspired by the works of the artist Henry Matisse. At the workshop, the pupils silk screened these images onto 3 house coloured bow wing banners, which will become a feature on Sports Day and other school events. Everyone had a brilliant time, learned a new skill and achieved 3 fantastic pieces of art.

04 March 2022
It’s been a busy week full of book related fun. To kick off Book Week The Library hosted a Book Hunt for the Prep School on Monday which saw the children hunting high and low for a selection of titles. On Tuesday it was Pre Prep’s turn as they took to the Astro to hunt for favourite book characters—I’m glad to say the glum weather did not dampen their high spirits! Prep School have been designing bookmarks during their library sessions with some fantastic designs created by our artistic pupils.
